A charming, tranquil gite in a stunning setting

The Moulin de la Bregere is a delightful south facing gite attached to an ancient flour mill in a tranquil hamlet close to the small village of Saint Dizier Leyrenne. The ground floor has a large well appointed kitchen and dining room which comfortably sits six adults. A large comfortable living room boasts a woodburner, satellite TV and Internet. The south side of the gite opens onto a large raised deck with ample seating for outside dining. The house opens onto an acre of garden leading to stunning views of the surrounding farmland and is surrounded on three sides by water, the River Leyrenne and the mill stream. A Chemin , a public walking path, is accessed by a small wooden bridge at the bottom of the garden, ideal for anyone who enjoys a short stroll or a longer walk. Guests will be able to access the garden which is equipped with sun loungers and chairs. The stream is ideal for paddling and investigating wildlife. We, the hosts are very and friendly and helpful. We love living in the Creuse and want to ensure that our guests fall in love with this gem set in heart of France. The market town of Bourganeuf, cite medieval, is 10 km from Saint Dizier Leyrenne. It has two large supermarkets, a lively market on Wednesday morning below the picturesque Zim Tower. There are numerous cafes around the town square and the town has a number of banks and a hospital. There is plenty of parking on the property. Public transport is limited and infrequent. Saint-Dizier-Leyrenne is a lovely, friendly village with an active social committee. There are a numerous festivals and events in Saint-Dizier-Leyrenne and the surrounding villages throughout the summer months. The village has a mini market, a boulangerie where bread is baked every day, a pharmacy, post office, hairdresser and tabac. We are situated in the depths of the countryside between a sheep farm and a cattle farm, as a consequence we are unable to accept booking from guests with dogs.
