The Pod - Coastal Forest Retreat

The Pod is an architecturally unique holiday home set in 8 acres of forest less than 5 minutes drive from Long Beach and Maloneys Beach. Fully landscaped grounds with abundant local birds and kangaroos. Recently refurbished with 3 full bathrooms plus 2 extra toilets, 5 spacious bedrooms on 3 levels, large modern kitchen/dining area, 2 large living areas leading onto extensive outdoor areas. Wifi, 2 x TV, Foxtel, table tennis, plenty of games, 2 bicycles, pianolo and Everdure BBQ.. Easily accessible, on the edge of Murramarang National Park, spacious, stylish, peaceful retreat with a myriad of beautiful inside and outside locations to both share time and enjoy solitude. Plenty for winter and summer with close proximity to beaches, walks and bike rides in the Murramarang and Cullendulla marine reserve. Ideal for beach fishing. Excellent family beaches. The whole house and grounds. Always available by phone or message. There is plenty of parking at the Pod. Limited launching facilities for boats are provided at one end of Long Beach, however numerous boat ramps are provided around Batemans Bay. Cut and run has a woodfired pizza van that sets up at Long Beach. Check (Hidden by Airbnb) for times for those. Moruya markets, Organic food on Tuesday afternoons and general markets Saturday mornings usually. The town of Mogo is a historic village with quirky shopping at galleries, jewellers and a myriad of interesting stores, near to the excellent Mogo Zoo. Long Beach and Maloney are excellent family beaches, but for those wanting surf, head to South Durras or further north. Most people drive, the Pod is about 2 hrs from the centre of Canberra and 3.5 hours from Sydney. There are daily buses from Canberra and Sydney. There also daily flights from Sydney to Moruya, about a 25 minute drive away. The ground floor newly renovated rumpus room flows out to a covered outdoor area complete with hammocks overlooking the forest. There is table tennis table,pianola and bicycles in the rumpus room. The BBQ is for use outdoors on this level. There are 2 spacious bedrooms on the ground floor, one twin and the other with a queen size bed. Outside but also on the ground floor is a new spacious bathroom and adjoining powder room. There is also an outdoor hot shower. The Pod has reverse cycle air-conditioning in the kitchen, living room and downstairs rumpus room, as well as the upstairs king bedroom. In addition to all usual features, the kitchen has a coffee machine with automatic grinder, 2 large refrigerators and an induction stove top. Heading out of the main level, there is large wrap around deck area with views over the surrounding bushland. The extensive landscaped grounds invite outdoor living and games . Kangaroos and wallabies regularly graze the lawns. Plenty of room for cricket. All bedding and bathroom linen is provided. Dogs will be permitted with specific prior permission and subject to various requirements. There is no smoking at the Pod. Check in after 3pm(TBA), check out by 10am. These times can be altered by prior arrangement where possible.
