Here, the guest suite is made up of Vedic plaster instead of the concrete or regular brick and mortar walls. This helps the temperature to be controlled as per the changing weather, keeps it cold during the summers and warm during the winters. This is a newly constructed suite built where guests can enjoy an uninterrupted view of the Solan-Barog valley next to the highway in Shamlesh. Guests can have the entire suite to themselves. Ideal for a family with two kids. Kids can use the sofa-cum-bed i.e. 9 x 6 feet. You can enjoy the Private garden and also have access to a beautiful shared open garden courtyard which has lovely plants & flowers and is a regular haunt for a variety of Himalayan birds. Surrounded by farms it is a tranquil setting to relax and rejuvenate your energies. Glimpse of Kalka-Shimla toy train in the background is a treat to the eyes. You can also see Apple and Plum plants at our garden. You will also get a kitchenette, it is a fully functional one, where you will get almost everything and if need be we can arrange a microwave, utensils. IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT We are obeying standardised hygiene protocols and utilising advanced disinfectants as recommended by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW) across all touch points for everyone's safety and well-being. HYGIENE & SAFETY GUIDELINES • Deep cleaning of the rooms before every check-in! • Regular sanitisation of common touch points like switches, door knobs, remote controls, handles, etc. • Fresh Linens and Toiletries are placed before every check-in. • Staff is maintaining appropriate distance as a part of the protocol and wearing masks. • Our staff is also regularly washing hands and monitoring temperature. PROPERTY DETAILS: • Rooms have a Double bed or King-size bed with an attached Washroom. • Equipped with high speed WiFi, a cable LED TV, comfy Mattresses. • The suite has attached dressing room with built in cupboards. • Plush Furniture such as chairs, bed-side tables and lamps, study table, bed linens, etc. are curated considering the minuscule detail and comfort. • Rooms are not-air conditioned, we have ceiling fans. WASHROOM • It has an attached bathroom with top-of-the-line modern fittings. • Equipped with water geysers, towels, shampoo and basic toiletries. • These spaces are neatly finished with 24 x 7 hot and cold water supply. OTHER AMENITIES: • Al Fresco Dining can be arranged on demand especially during summers. • All meals will be charged as per the consumption. Advance notice and payment are required to prepare the food. • Bar-be-que can be arranged subject to availability for nominal charge. • Traditional/Pahari/Local food can be served as per demand of the guests. • Bonfire and fireplace can be lit on request for additional charges. • Live music can be catered to on special demand considering the number of guests. We have vegetable and fruit farms (tomatoes, capsicums, broccoli, plums, apricot, walnuts, bayberry i.e kafal), where you can come and pluck on seasonal basis... Guests have an access to the entire private suite, which has attached balcony and lawn. This is a professionally-managed listing. The owner and staff stay at the property to oversee the convenience and comfort of the guests. We are just half a kilometre away from the Historic Barog Railway Station and the locality is called as village Shamlech. Barog is a hill station in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. The railway station lies on UNESCO World Heritage Site Kalka–Shimla Railway. Barog comes after 32 tunnels. The over-hanging pine canopy parts slightly to the sides to reveal the entrance to Tunnel No. 33 (the main attraction of this station). This is the longest straight tunnel in the railways and is 1.14 km long. Barog station is what an Indian railway station is not. It is unreal, clean, uncrowded, totally jostle-free. The woodwork is brilliant blue with a forest backdrop. The Mall Road, and other markets can be easily accessed through local buses, autos or taxies. It's hardly a 30 minutes walk to the city if one is interested. We believe that location plays a pivotal role for anyone to decide on booking a stay, hence, we have fields of vegetables and fruits and our guests are welcome to explore these areas There are a number of treks nearby for the guests who want to go for hiking and trekking. Historic Barog Railway Station (just 15 min walk), Famous Jatoli temple (about 20 mins drive), Mount Karol (about 15 min drive n then tracking up or driveup till Karol), Hill station Kasauli (about 40 mins drive) Hill station Chail (about 90 mins drive) are the other famous attractions near by. Guests usually commute via their personal vehicles or self driven rented cars or cabs. But Solan is easy to via public transport as well. Parking will not be an issue here. Guests can also try the The Historic Toy Train (Himalayan Queen) till Solan which runs on The UNESCO World Heritage Site Kalka–Shimla Railway which starts from Kalka. Travelling via train has the most scenic views of the valley and amazing long tunnels built in British era. Solan Railway Station is again about 5 kms distance which usually takes 15 minutes drive-time to reach. Other option can be the Inter-state buses running from all across the neighbouring states like Haryana, Punjab, Delhi and further North which will drop you at By pass Solan. From here you can easily reach us via taxi or auto within 10 to 15 mins. Nearest airports are at Shimla and Chandigarh. Drive from Jubbarhatti Shimla airport is around 90 mins and from Chandigarh also it's about 90 mins. All meals will be charged...
