The third room is a large sitting room with a shower and closet bath. Enjoy your morning coffee on the front porch, meet our chickens, and explore our garden. The apartment has lovely light from the large windows. And for those that want to sleep in, the bedroom has blackout drapes that you can close. Guest are welcome to use the front porch. Guests can enjoy an easy drive or bike ride to neighboring towns and attractions. Close to Rutland, ski resorts and the Slate Valley Trail system. We are happy to share our yard with guests as well as the fire pit and propane grill. And we love to give tours of our gardens! The apartment does have a private entrance, but we are right next door if you need anything. Our picturesque town was officially founded in 1784. Defined by the encircling mountains, Middletown Springs became one of Vermont’s uniquely shaped communities. At 23 square miles, it is slightly smaller than the average Vermont town, but boasts an enormous sense of community spirit and civic engagement. Over the years, our population has waxed and waned, and today about 750 residents make up our close-knit rural community. Nearby lakes, rivers, and mountains offer plentiful opportunities for outdoor recreation. We are located just a short walk to the center of this New England town, with a country store, historic mineral springs park, and the fabulous Sissy's Kitchen, which serves remarkable take-out meals. Just a few miles away, take a hike or go mountain biking on the Slate Valley Trails. The microwave has been replaced since the reviews that indicate it was broken.
