Punehu Stream Cottage is in the grounds of a working lavender farm 6 kilometres south of Opunake. In 5 acres of botanic gardens with Punehu Stream on two boundaries it is close to surfing, hiking, skiing and local sightseeing. An idyllic place. This is a unique space with wonderful views. It is situated in the grounds of the Old Pihama Dairy Factory which has a rich history going back to 1898 Guests will have the full use of their own house which has access to the grounds of the lavender farm and the stream on two sides. I can interact as little or as much as guests want. This is a nice private space . I am happy to provide breakfast lunch and dinner at extra cost as required. This part of Taranaki is stunning. It has the mountain but also the surf beaches and fishing. There are several well known gardens which are in the vicinity. The country music museum is just down the road in Manaia. There is no easy public transport. It is best for guests to access this property by private or rental car. The nearest airport is at New Plymouth. This is an area of wild beauty and has easy access to the mountain, and surf coast.
