"A" Frame Brandenburg Lake

Getaway to a cozy 1 bedroom w/loft for 2, up to 6 people. Full kitchen 1.5 bath all season getaway. There is a piano as well. A tranquil home steps from a private lake. Oak and Pine surround you plus a stone fireplace, it feels like the North Woods. The A Frame guest house shares a 5 acre compound ( total 20 Acres) with the owners residence and caretaker cottage. The Volo Bog 800ft away. No hot tub Nov - May. Swimming pool usually June-October often cool to use in early June. The 'A' frame is adjacent to Volo Bog State Park. If you enjoy the sounds, smell and feel of the country along with a variety of wild life we have them. The park itself enjoys some celebrity with a nature center, trails and hosts a variety of flora and fauna. our amenities include pool, tennis, table tennis, see the complete listing. Swimming pool, tennis court, hot tub, sauna, grill, sand beach, bonfire area, water craft. There is parking for two cars. The 'A' frame and all amenities rests on five acres shared by the owner's home and care taker for a total of 20 acres. The owner is often available for local suggestions, restaurants, and activities. Very low density. Our area is semi rural with 5 acre lots, much of the private lake frontage and surrounding acres is owned by the state. Some of our neighbors are deer, fox, racoons, all manner of birds, geese, swans, sandhill cranes, egrets. No powerboats allowed. The Fox Lake Metra station is 4 miles away, about 90 min to Chicago, Union Station. We cannot promise but we may be available to pick up arriving guest from the train station. Chicago's O'Hare and Milwaukee airports are about 1 hour away. There are some great restaurants in the area, see guide.
