Coorow Guest Cottage - peace, 15 mins. from Mudgee
Your booking is for (maximum) 4 adults and two children (under 12yo). Water is precious to us . Enjoy our cosy, quiet cottage with views towards the Warrumbungle Ranges. Do your own thing while enjoying Robbie's free range eggs from our chooks. Watch fabulous sunsets from up by the dam (200m) - all with a bottle of fine Mudgee wine, within reason, of course. We're about 15 minutes from town - just right for a quiet break in the countryside. We do not allow smoking, vaping or parties. Your booking is for four adults - sleeping in x2 double beds in separate bedrooms. Children can be accommodated on a fold down sofa in the living room) and a fold down single bed. Our stand alone cottage has all "mod cons". However, the drought has hit us hard and water is in short supply. The kitchen is fully functional and all cooking utensils (including barbecue tools) are provided. There's an electric barbecue on the deck . (We are unable to offer the cooking fire about 200 metres walk during the bushfire season because of the risk). Though, please take a bottle of fine Mudgee wine up there to the dam (200m.) and enjoy the glorious sunsets - plastic glasses in the cottage. You will have a private entrance and parking, independent of the main house. The cottage is within 25 metres of the parking area with four broad wooden steps up to the cottage deck. Please review the photos on our listing if unsure of access. Cottage is secure and we are here - available - most of the time to help you enjoy the peace of the Coorow Guest Cottage We try to be here as guests arrive - and, that works most times. We give our guests the privacy they want - but are here most of the time to assist if needed. I've just realised that I didn't meet three of the four guests last weekend - but that's up to them. The weekend before, we were given two bottles of beautiful Mudgee Merlot as a gift from our guests. Very nice of them!! Our nearest neighbours are 300 metres away and we seldom see/hear of them. Our cottage (and home) are on a slight slope on a hillside 'saddle' just north of Mudgee. We enjoy a fabulous view (and so can you) up to the north beyond Cooyal, Gulgong, Coolah Tops - almost to the Warrumbungles. Our closest animal neighbours are kangaroos and wallabies just outside our front fence - often in the garden at night (Dammit!). You'll need your own transport since we are just a little too far (around x5 kms.) from Robert Stein Winery (and its award-winning Pipeclay Restaurant). The only public transport nearby is the school bus 2x per day. Mind you, electric bicycles can be rented from Pieter van Gents winery about 6ks away - a popular pastime for many. We are a distinctly non-smoking venue - anywhere on the property. This is as much a bush-fire issue as it is for our personal health. Whilst we encourage a good time and recommend Mudgee's providores of beers, wines and spirits (all locally produced), AirBnB prohibits parties. We also supply plastic glasses for outside use - to avoid broken glass in our "lawn". There are often little feet around. Please use these plastic glasses whenever you want to drink outside the Guest Cottage?
