When the Roman Empire fell, the territory was occupied and divided until the 10th century, when the region was reunited with the prevalence of Greek inhabitants. The territory flourished again thanks to the Normans. With 500 miles of coastline, three national parks and thousands of acres of olive trees, vineyards and citrus groves, Calabria is one of the most diverse regions in the bel paese.
