The Boathouse

We invite you to relax, unwind & enjoy! You will feel worlds away from everything at this beautiful lakeside retreat. A huge deck on the eastern side is the perfect place to enjoy a meal with friends. The deck wraps around the northern side to give unrivalled lake views. Waterfront reserve runs from the house down to its own boatshed and jetty where you can launch your paddleboard, windsurfer, boat or cool off for a swim in the lake. Kitchen features all new appliances and windows opening out onto the side deck. The house has a carport and turnaround area where you can park your cars and boats. The boat shed and jetty are a great launching spot for paddle boards and dinghies. To launch larger boats, there is a public boat ramp just two minutes drive away. Tropical gardens surround the property with uninterrupted lake views. We are currently living overseas so the house is looked after by Nathan's parents who live just up the road. We are available for questions however and welcome your feedback - we want you to feel at home! The town of Wangi is a sailing mecca on the shores of Lake Macquarie. The Wangi Sailing Club is just a few doors down from the house, making this a perfect spot for sailors racing on Lake Macquarie's waters. Just two hours north of Sydney, Wangi is best accessed by car but you can catch a train from Sydney's Central Station to Morisset (a 15-minute drive from Wangi). We will provide linen for your stay - sheets, towels, blankets etc. Please note we now have a full second bathroom and separate laundry on the deck as well as a built in BBQ area. The whole side deck has been roofed so that it can now be enjoyed in all weather!
