Guest suite in Wivenhoe

We are offering a comfortable modern guest suite in the riverside town of Wivenhoe. The room is a guest suite on the ground floor in our family home and you will have complete privacy. The room has its own en suite shower room and one double bed. There is a small kitchenette with tea and coffee making facilities, as well as a small fridge, sink, toaster & single induction hob. There is a TV with Netflix, Iplayer, All 4 as well as WiFi. Our guest suite is located on a quiet residential street, but within walking distance of the pubs and restaurants in Wivenhoe. The pretty Wivenhoe trail along the River Colne is a short walk away. We are conveniently located for visitors to Essex University which is a short drive away or a 30 minute walk. Guests are able to self check in and stay with us without meeting us in person, which we hope is reassuring in light of Covid-19. You will have sole access to the guest suite and en suit shower room/ WC. Please let us know if you are driving and we will ensure the driveway is available for you to use. The front door is also the main door to the family home, but once inside there is a small hallway and the guest room is immediately on your left, so you do not need to enter the main house. We will respect our guests privacy - however we are nearby and happy to help if guests have questions or need local advice. Due to Covid-19 we no longer greet our guests in person, and most of our guests stay with us without meeting us in person. We are available by telephone and will always reply quickly if you have any questions. Wivenhoe is a pretty riverside town with great places to eat and drink, as well as an independent bookshop, deli and parks. Wivenhoe station with direct trains to Colchester and London is a 15 minute walk away. There is a bus stop at the end of our road (5 minute walk) with frequent buses to the University and Colchester town. The guest suite is ideally suited to a couple or single person. We have two young children and whilst the room is private, it is possible you may hear some everyday family noise.
