Simple village apartment

The apt. is neither new nor luxurious, but cosy enough to stay on a longer holiday, as the surroundings offer many interesting hikes (Jamnik, 1 h Vodice, 1 h, Brezje, 1 h ...) or trips to the sights of Gorenjska (Kropa, Radovljica, BLED, Bohinj, Begunje, Škofja Loka, LJUBLJANA). The house is located admist a big garden. The restaurant Marička with a playground is a few steps away. - Tourist tax is not included in the price. - Charge of € 15 for 5th bed. The surroundings are really attractive: beautiful views of the mountains, churches on the hills, several homely restaurants and a lot of things to see and do nearby ... DIRECTIONS: From the motorway, take the exit Brezje, then turn sharply right. The narrow paved road will take you (both, the left turning or the straight one) down to Globoko, across the Sava River, then uphill through Mišače and further straight uphill to Sr. Dobrava. Drive past the church, then turn right in the middle of the village, and turn right again after the 4th house. We plan to build new turist rooms in the future, at the moment, however, the apartment in the first floor, where we lived occasionaly 30 years ago, is far from being fancy. Srednja Dobrava and the neighboring villages were abandoned during the WW II, as Germans sent 23 families (89 people of 352 total) in labor camps in Bavaria, Germany (Poxau, Straubing, Frontenhausen) on December 5th (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) because family members joined partisans. 14 died in battles with Germans, 12 have been shot as hostages, 6 died in the exile. The bus station for direction Radovljica, Bled ... is in Lipnica (10 min.), and from the railwaystation at Otoče (20 min.) you can travel towards Jesenice or Ljubljana. In the village there is no grocer's store; the nearest small food shops are in Podnart and in Kropa, each of them about 5 km away.
