Your own Fire Pit area - perfect for sunsets & stargazing. Fly or Drive in, we have a 400 mtr grass airstrip. Hangarage available. 2 hrs from Brisbane, 45 mins from Toowoomba. The perfect place for a weekend with friends or quiet mid week escape. Elopements & Intimate weddings. Not suitable for children or pets. If you are looking for a quiet, tranquil place to relax & chill out then this little slice of Australian country maybe the haven you are looking for. The views throughout the day are gorgeous and ever changing. The nightsky is truly magnificent and if a firepit is your thing we certainly have one with a stunning view across the plains. Our home has been completely renovated with attention to detail being a priority. Enjoy the wood fire heater in winter and the breeze on the deck in the warm summer months. We have recently completed our silo bar .... perfect for viewing the stunning sunsets most nights. You’ll have the house to yourselves and a fire pit exclusively for your use. The entire house is yours. Strictly a maximum of six guests only. Sorry no other visitors or pets allowed during your stay. Available if needed but we love to give our guests as much privacy as we would like to enjoy ! Irongate has it's own environmental park. We are surrounded by farms. The night sky is amazing and you will be assured of seeing wallabies and kagaroo's during your stay. Toowoomba is a 40 min drive and is a beautiful historic city with fabulous cafes and fine dining experiences to be had. Weekend markets, Art & Craft exhibitions & of course the amazing Carnival of Flowers is held every September. Just 30 mins drive away is the historic Jondaryan Woolshed which is not to be missed if visiting. Wellcamp Airport is only 40 mins drive away and just a 2 1/2 hour drive from Brisbane. You will most definitley need a vehicle as public transport is not reliable or regular from the local town. If you are flying in we can arrange for you to borrow a vehicle to get around (at extra cost) so you can enjoy the local attractions We live on the property and also have caravans and campers sometimes visit - the camping & RV areas are not visible from the house. We own a light aeroplane and have an airstrip so you may see an aeroplane land or take off during your stay - but this does not happen on a regular basis. Ken is always happy to give our guests a look over his Carbon Cub aeroplane as it is his pride and joy ... wander down to the hangar if you're interested :-) The property is unsuitable for children under 16. No pets allowed due to local wildlife.
