Gîte "The Yellow Shutters"

This little rustic house with beams is located in a tiny weenee little village in the heart of Burgundy and really suits people or families who want a deep rest in a very rich historical environment... The house and garden are all yours with a barbecue, a ping-pong table in the barn, lots of documentation for places to visit. We are very fond of meeting people, as we have ourselves travelled in many places in the world, we like children (having 9 grand'children) and love our guest to feel at home. We will be there for you, every day of your stay to help and give advice if you need it. If you want privacy and being quiet, we will let it be. Although our village is extremely calm, we have all nearby, in a lovely little Medieval town : Semur-en-Auxois, 4 kms away : good bakery, 3 supermarkets, Sunday market, cinema, doctors, hospital, the smallest Opera in the World, lovely views etc.. You can reach Villars-et-Villenotte by train - TGV 1h05' from Paris. By car : Autoroute A6 - 235kms from Paris / 450kms from Lyon. You can rent a car in Montbard (TGV statin) or Semur-en-Auxois. You can also reach us with your own car. This region has 2 big sites recognized as World Patrimoine : Abbaye de Fontenay and Vézelay. It also has lots of Castles, old forges, churches, lakes and forests.
