Hi! I really hope you like my beautiful home, it's an old converted Chapel that we have tried to make as inviting as possible. We have the most spectacular views with the sea on one side and the start of Snowdonia national park to the other. The Chapel is a great place to stay if you want a walking-get-away through the Welsh mountains and fields! There is a beautiful open plan living room and kitchen, both very large, three bedrooms, 1 master room with a double bed and a sofa in, one with a double bed in and the other with two singles in - great for kids. In the living room there is a lovely wood stove that can easily be lit, as well as a flat screen tv so you can enjoy a movie while by the fire. Just off the living room / kitchen is a balcony that has amazing views of both the sea in front and the mountains behind (the start of Snowdonia National Park). There is one bathroom on the ground floor, with a bath/shower in. Please be aware that during the colder months we supply enough wood for the log burner for 1 night - you can buy more if you wish, please just message and we can arrange for this. Guests have full access to the whole Chapel property. There is an outhouse by the garden with a washer and dryer for clothes, however please be aware that you will have to exit the Chapel though the front door and use the side gate and go down the stairs in the car parking area to reach it. At the moment I am between Leeds and Wales, so I will be available mainly by phone and you'll be able to self check in. The Chapel boast's amazing views of the start of Snowdonia national park and the sea. There is a family friends pub a stones though away called 'The Fairy Glen' that also do lovely pub food. You are a very sort drive away from Conwy where you will find Conwy Castle and Walls, Smallest house in Britain, Plas Mawr (a magnificent 16th century town house), Bodnant Garden (one of Wales’ best gardens and a great place to relax and unwind), Conwy Quay as well as the RSPB Conwy Nature Reserve. There are lots of pubs and restaurants in Conwy such as 'The Bank of Conwy' 'Johnny Dough's at The Bridge' 'The Erskine Arms' 'The Albion' to name a few! The Mulberry at Conwy Marina is also great restaurant just outside Conwy, situated right on the marina front with some stunning views, especially if you are into your boats. Mont Snowdon is around an hours drive away from the Chapel, however we do recommended getting there early to secure a parking place! There are plenty of other walks around the area, too many to name them all but we have left some local walking books and maps in the Chapel to have a read though! Zip World- Bounce Below is less then an hour drive - 'Unleash your inner-thrill seeker in our enormous underground net adventure! Jump and slide your way through the disused mine on the best playground ever!' (Blurb from website). 'Zip World, Penrhyn Quarry' is around 25 mins away, ' Set in North Wales near the stunning Snowdon range, in what once was the world’s largest slate quarry, Penrhyn Quarry is now home to the fastest zip line in the world, Velocity 2, where you can fly 500m above the bright blue quarry lake.' (Blurb from website) There are plenty of stunning beaches for you to explore, such as Penmaenmawr beach (10 min drive, 35 min walk) Traeth Llanfairfechan beach (15 min drive, 1hr 30min walk), once at this beach if you keeping walking you will reach Glan Y Mor Elias - a nature reserve. Conwy Morfa Beach - (15 min drive, 1hr 30min walk) Traeth Llanddwyn is a stunning beach but a little further away on Anglesey (45min / 1hr drive) We would also recommend heading over to the The Gazelle Hotel at Menai Bridge, for beautiful sea views while enjoying a drink! If you continue driving on from here Beaumaris on Anglesey is also worth a visit. Aber Falls Distillery is a great place to explore, beware they are not allowed to advertise so its easy to miss! This is a new Whiskey Distillery that you can take a tour of as well as enjoy some food and drinks at! (They also do great gin if you do not like Whiskey) The full address is Aber Falls Distillery, Station Road, Abergwyngregyn, Llanfairfechan. We really hope that this gives you some ideas of the great things there are to fo locally :) Really amazing walking routes that you don't have to drive to, however you would need a car to get around to other places, such as Conwy or Snowdon- there are a few buses but would take quite awhile. Please be aware that you will have the Chapel all to yourself however there is a 'Care Takers' Cottage underneath the Chapel that is occupied. If you have any questions to do with our cleaning process please drop us a message.
