Two beautiful cottages & millers house in an idyllic location,on the river seugne in the medieval town of Pons.Close to vineyards,wonderful beaches at Royan & the historic towns of Cognac &Saintes.Less than 1 hour from Bordeaux/La Rochelle airports. It is so picturesque, peaceful and private here, but still less than five minutes walk from town centre. Seven small islands on the river seugne. Bikes, fishing equipment, children's toys and games, baby equipment. Table tennis and table football, darts and gym, boxing bag. Barbecues and large freezer. We are available to answer questions and queries by phone, email and text before , during and after your stay. We often socialise with our guests in the summer months on our decking and terrace area of our water mill and do communal barbecues for guests to interact with us and other guests. We have lived in Pons for over 12 years now. It is a very picturesque and quaint town, packed full of history. We adore the main square with the two restaurant bars and the donjon ancient tower and ramparts. The river seugne flies through the whole town and our property! The walks are many and the aire de loisir and château des énigmes are great tourist attractions. A taxi service is available on town for surrounding towns of saintes and cognac and beyond. The train is a great way to visit saintes and la Rochelle and bordeaux to name but a few destinations. We offer free bike hire here and there are many beautiful cycle routes and rambling/walking routes. It is essential to us that you enjoy your stay and that is memorable for all the right reasons. We have three animated but well behaved children so we know what is required for a children friendly holiday. Please know you can relax at our property and that we are always on hand.
