Urban permaculture garden stay
Urban permaculture organic garden on an acre section with a food forest, vege gardens, a bush walk, bees, chooks and a small stream. A 2 bedroom garden flat with a large patio to hang out and look at the garden. Just 5 mins drive from town and a stroll to the 'locals' café for breakfast. Free tea and coffee and unlimited ultrafast broadband. The garden flat is all on one level with living room with built in office space, 2 bedrooms and bathroom. There is a kitchen with sink, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, microwave, 2 induction hobs and a benchtop oven, There is also a BBQ outside. There is off-road parking but it is down a slope. There is one parking space on the level by the top flat. The garden flat is accessed down some steps from the parking area to the right of the front door of the house. A level access to the flat is from the lower slope area where luggage can be unloaded without carrying down the steps. There is a large patio for guests, and you are quite welcome to wander the gardens. However, the gardens are not a playground and children should not walk on the walls and structures. I teach horticulture and permaculture classes - some days/evenings and weekends but i'm around about or in the garden at least half the week. I host people from all over the world on internships and exchanges so am used to having people stay. I'm happy to talk about gardening and permaculture and give you a garden tour if i'm not working. Although I have a lot of neighbours, it is a quiet neighbourhood. The garden is a little oasis in the middle of town. There's a bus stop just a 5 minute walk down the road to get downtown. However it doesn't run on weekends. If you don't have transport then borrowing the mountain bikes I have here at no charge is your best bet. There are 2 mountain bikes free of charge for guests use - great for exploring the coastal walkway.
