Built around 1880. This two bed cottage sleeps up to four guests. The cottage is located within the traditional Welsh village of Trawsfynydd at the heart of the Snowdonia National Park. The Lake Traswfynydd lake is set amongst sheep, horse & cow fields all separated by dry stone walls with a beautiful mountain range back drop offering relaxation in abundance and all within a very short walk from the property making this little gem very special and certainly worth a visit. Warm & Cosy sum up this 2 bed Quarryman’s house. Located within the traditional Welsh village of Trawsfynydd at the heart of the Snowdonia National Park. Heating The property has a new central heating system with a hive thermostat ensuring room temperatures. The property is fitted with double glazed windows and doors. Soft lighting and a multi fuel stove give a warm & cosy feel to this property. You will have sole free access to the super fast WiFi. Parking Free parking can be found to the left of the property out on the road. Further free parking within the village car park located in front of the health centre which is a short 2 minute walk from the property or surrounding roads. The Lounge With a multi fuel stove, new central heating system along with lamp lighting you certainly get that cosy feel. The lounge has a smart TV wired up to the super fast WiFi offering all associated free viewing apps ‘’there is no TV aerial’’. A six port usb charger is supplied along with a dvd player. Over on the book shelf you will find a selection of DVDs, books, board & quiz games all provided for any nights you may want to just stay in and chill. Local guide books and tourist leaflets detailing some of the attractions or walks on offer within the National Park can also be found on the bookshelf. The dining area is at the opposite end of the lounge with a dining table and seating for up to four guests. The Kitchen The kitchen is well equipped with a washing machine, microwave, electric hob, electric cooker, fridge, tassimo coffee maker ‘pods not supplied’, toaster, sandwich toaster, kettle, smoothie maker, cutlery & crockery along with all wares needed to aid your stay. A slow cooker has been provided enabling preparation of meals before venturing out. Whilst waiting for dinner why not pour a glass of wine and listen to some music via the Alexa. The Bathroom The bathroom is fitted with a bath and over head electric shower. Fresh bath towels are supplied for guests, there is also a hair dryer for your personal use. There is no shaving socket fitted within the bathroom. The Bedrooms Both bedrooms have double beds. The two bedrooms have central heating with double glazed windows. The rooms offer a warm quiet cosy feel. Hot water bottles are also supplied ensuring your bed can be warmed during the coldest of those Welsh winter nights. The back bedroom has beautiful rural countryside views whilst the front bedroom looks out on to village life. Guests will have sole and full access to the entire property. Street parking is to be found out on the road or within the village car park which is just a short walk from the house and is free from fees or permits. Guests will have sole free access to the super fast broadband. Your host is contactable via the Airbnb app and will always respond to any queries within an hour or two. Trawsfynydd village. Locally, you will find two very well stocked shops with every thing you may need to aid your stay, these shops offer a postoffice, ATM cash point, off-licence, general store, crafts, pet foods etc. There is also a small village pharmacist. A petrol station can be found just off the main road. The village pub is the Cross Foxes however a further three pubs these being the Oakley Arms Hotel, the Grapes Hotel and the Bryn Arms are all within a short drive, they all offer a good menu with food at affordable prices with excellent service. The Trawsfynydd lake with its 8 mile circular walk can be accessed via a short 10 minute walk via the village. Monday evenings the mobile fish and chip van visits the village. On a summers evening why not grab your camera. and some chips and walk over to the majestic Trawsfynydd Lake, I promise you will slumber into the view. Please respect your neighbours the beautiful countryside and the tranquillity of the village. Please DO NOT LITTER the countryside. Take your rubbish back to the property and place in the bin. Please check out my Guests Guide Book within the property listing which details many places to visit along with local pubs/restaurants. The area is accessible via car, bike or foot. A bus service also runs from the village. Numerous cycling, running and walking paths can be found within the local vicinity. Within a 30 min drive you can visit Barmouth, Harlech, Dolgellau, Porthmadog, Betws Y Coed, Bala lakes and my personal favourite the beautiful Beddgelert with it’s out standing riverside walks, cute shops and welcoming village pubs. The famous zip line is a 15 minute drive from the cottage and is said to be the longest and fastest zip line within Europe. Booking is essential as the ride gets extremely popular amongst adrenaline junkies..! The Zip worlds have three different attractions across north Wales all offering various activities so please check them out. The drive to mount Snowdon is a 40 minute drive through some beautiful rural stop and snap locations. You will have a short walk across beautiful sheep fields with their dry stone walls to snap up the eye watering Trawsfynydd lake with its mountainous back drop. Whether you seek the thrills of outdoor adventures, a romantic getaway or you are a keen photographer, fitness enthusiast or just simply want to escape the hustle and bustle of every day life then why not book today and bank some beautiful memories..! The property is not suitable for children between the ages of 0-12 years. I apply Airbnb’s child policy to this property. There are steep steps up to the rear garden area and also the upper floor of the cottage. The oil heating tank is also sited at the top of the garden. Please remember the property was built around 1880 therefore it is not a ultra modern hotel however it is a very clean, warm & cosy space in which to enjoy your Welsh adventures.
