Just over an hour's drive from Sydney, fifteen minutes from historic Windsor, close to the Wilberforce Shops and next to water ski-ing central: Sackville. We are on the Farm Gate Trail and very close to The Cooks Co-op and Tizzana Winery. 20 minutes from Dargle and the Colo River. Basic looking on the outside, this comfy little flat has parking right outside the front door and horses over the back fence. Tar access to driveway and undercover parking. Motor bikes welcomed. Dogs $10/night Please note: no dog proof area, but plenty of space! From the outside, the flat is not much to look at, but inside it is clean, comfortable and well appointed. Gas heater and air conditioner, gas cooker and hot water, comfortable bed with quality sheets and towels. Kitchen basics usually supplied. Undercover parking at the door and level access. The herd of horses wander the property in a loop paddock and are often visible as they come up for water and evening feed. Rustic outdoor table as well as small dining table inside give you your choice of dining options. Wilberforce Heritage Hotel supplies courtesy bus some nights for stress free eating and drinking. Rowboat available for closer encounters with billabong birdlife. Fishing is ok in the billabong. Other farm activities possibly available with prior arrangement. A fold-out bed can be made available for $20 but may cramp the lounge area. There's a barbecue outside your door, a rustic table if you want to eat outside, carport and you're welcome to use the laundry under my back porch. Our front doors are just across the shared carport from each other. I'm friendly but busy, so can afford a quick chat if you wish. Very happy to direct you to places of interest. I sometimes have early starts but try to be quiet. Wilberforce shops 7km away, Tractor 828 Cafe just 700metres away. The car ferry crossing 1.5km away is a novelty for many people. Ebenezer Church does great Devonshire Teas and historic Australiana Pioneer Village is open every Sunday. Wisemans Ferry is about 30mins drive and worth a visit. Colo River and Colo Heights has many surrounding reserves has picnic areas and ma range of walking trails. Historical sites abound nearby as this is where Gov Macquarie set up farms to feed the early settlers. No public transport. Uber is now available with limits, I believe. There is very little mobile coverage unless you are with Telstra. My wifi is available so you could use a wifi phone app if you need to make and receive calls. Guests can bring their pets for $10 per pet per night. Please note the property is not dog fenced and you will need to be responsible for the dog's safety when he/she is outside.
