STRICTLY NO PARTIES 10 guest in 5 bedrm and sunroom, 3 bathroom and laundry on 4 levels. Open plan kitch/dining with tv/living on main grd flr level. The house and pool is located with in a tranquil rainforest setting with large hoop and bunya pines amongst other native flora. King parrot, kookaburra, tawny frogmouth and cockatoos are some of the more visible bird species you may see. Generally you won’t notice any neighbours as the house is private, however please RESPECT our neighbours right to PEACE & PRIVACY especially in the evenings. NOISE from deck and pool areas is very obvious at night :) In 2021 POOL CLOSED between 01 MAY and 31 AUG. Just ask host if you want to extend these dates to accomodate your booking. There’s area to explore and wander on the property itself, however we suggest you try the options in our Area Guide. *** Post Sept 2019 Bush Fire UPDATE(05Sept20): The Binna Burra walking trails section (3km away) of Lamington National Park NOW OPEN to the public. AND Binna Burra Rd is OPEN South of Timbarra Drive. As it is a rainforest environment, when outdoors, we recommend you always wear appropriate shoes, clothing and insect repellent and take sufficient food & water. Guest have access to the house, pool and the grounds. NO Guest ACCESS to the lower level undercover garage. We are your hosts but do not reside at The BOWER, however we live nearby. It is your holiday home and as our guests, we are very happy to help you out. We respect our neighbours right to privacy. They have alerted us to unusual events, in the past, and we have responded . *** STRICTLY NO PARTIES We reiterate our NO party policy. Our neighbours reside here because of the solitude. DO NOT book our property intending to host a party with loud noise/music. All our neighbours are very sensitive to NOISE during the night. Be aware we have nearby neighbours on the pool side of the house. Please consider those neighbours when using the decks and external areas at night when they will be sensitive to noise. The Qld law requires that no audible sound impact on neighbours between the hours of 7pm and 7am. The former Binna Burra (BB) lodge was destroyed in Sept2019 bushfires. The BB Camp Ground and Skylodges , just south of the Bower House, are back operating, (O5Sept20). The Bower is on BB Rd. Beechmont in the Gold Coast Hinterland. The BB lodge is being reconstructed in the future. Refer to our GUIDE BOOK online at AirBnB for Things to Do in our region. You will need a car to drive to the house and to surrounding locations ***June 2020: We have upgraded our cleaning procedures inline with current COVID19 guidelines from Airbnb and Qld Gov Dept of Health. *** Bed, bathroom and kitchen linen is provided with beds made up. 4 out of 5 bedrooms have ceiling fans. There is a large reverse-cycle Air-conditioner on the main kitchen/dining/living floor level and a smaller one in the top floor king size Bed room. In POOL SEASON, Some Pool towels are provided for guest use. STRICTLY NO PETS at the house or property. The house is located on 4 different levels with a flight of 8 steps between each level. There are 4 different covered deck areas, with balustrades. *** Sept 2020: Mid level deck is OFF LIMITS as it is undergoing REPAIR. No WIFI at the house. Mobile coverage is generally only available for TELSTRA phones. We provide some pantry staples as listed in your information pack. You must bring all your groceries as the nearest supermarkets are 30 minutes drive away. There is a Foodworks at Canungra and Coles/Woolworths at Nerang. Milk & Basics MAY be available to buy at the nearby Beechmont General Store/Cafe. The Flying Bean Cafe sell takeaway Alcohol and pizza on Friday . Get in early with your order.
