Idyllic and Tranquil Detached Rural Cottage

Staddles Cottage is a self contained secluded detached cottage in a tranquil setting with views across open fields. It consists of a large open plan sitting room and kitchen with wide opening bi-fold doors. The doors open out onto a terrace with outdoor seating and access to the outdoor heated swimming pool. There is a downstairs bathroom with shower. Upstairs the bedrooms has a superking bed. The small balcony has views across the open fields and the upstairs also has a small bathroom. The swimming pool is approximately 12m x 4.5m and is heated to around 28 degrees. The pool is planned to be open from mid-May until the end of September (the temperature may be slightly lower at either end of the season, depending on how the solar panels perform). The swimming pool is now closed for the winter. Please note that air temperatures significantly below average, at either end of the season, may delay the heating up of the pool in May or curtail the heating in September. The Cottage is self-contained and the swimming pool is exclusively for the use of guests during your stay. The hosts will periodically clean the swimming pool and surrounds as well as attending to, and checking, the chemical levels in the pool. Staddles Cottage is situated within the grounds of the main residence and the owners are generally on site to provide any assistance required. Staddles Cottage is situated close to the Somerset Levels around 7 miles from the County Town of Taunton. Easily accessible from the M5 and A303, around 10-15 minutes from both. It is a great location to explore Somerset from and is also only 28 miles from the coast at Lyme Regis. Cyclists and walkers have excellent options either on The Levels or on the nearby Quantock and Blackdown Hills. The nearest village is 3 miles away and has a shop, Coffee Shop and pub. Staddles Cottage is in a rural, peaceful location. Walks and cycles can be conducted straight from the front door. Secure storage for bicycles is available. Bedroom 1 has a Super King bed and the small balcony overlooks the pool area. A twin bedded room is available, upon request. We have recently had an EV charger fitted, which we would be happy for guests to use, subject to a payment being made per kW hour. Please contact us prior to booking to clarify payment arrangements.
