Currently undergoing improvements and looking forward to reopening booking in the Spring New Kitchen & Bathroom with underfloor heating Waggoners is a private & quaint, cottage set in idyllic isolation, on a working farm, with handpicked furnishings. Outside- you are spoilt with a patio that bathes in sunshine all day. Waggoners is very private cottage with plenty of character. . The cottage has been thoughtful furnished to a high standard with a luxurious finish. There is a stable door in the kitchen and the sitting room which brings the outside inside, super uninterrupted views over the farm and big skies. Seriously comfy kingsize bed with feather duvet, stacks of pillows and White Company linens in a spacious bedroom. Downstairs is a cosy sitting room with a wood burner and dining area. A galley style kitchen and downstairs you’ll find the bathroom with a great overhead shower. . A comfortable sitting room with Snug sofa and big armchair to sink into. Upstairs you’ll find a seriously cozy bed, dressed with White Company bed linen, a feather duvet, mountains of feather pillows to ensure a sound nights sleep in the countryside undisturbed by traffic or light pollution. However quiet the cottage normally is please be aware it is a working farm and there may farm machinery working at certain times of the year, the busiest time for the farm is between mid July and end of September. The ceiling height in the sitting room, dining area and the doorways are quite low so please bear in mind if you are tall. The stairs are accessed through a low door and caution is warned here. As part of the character of this boutique cottage the bathroom is downstairs. There is a shower with great water pressure over a small bath. A towel heater to make sure your fluffy tumble dried towels are toasty warm. PEACE OF MIND COVID CLEANING All linen, mattress and pillow protectors, towels, tea towels and oven gloves are washed at a high temperature with a additional disinfecting detergent, at EVERY changeover. I put a new dishcloth and sponge for every stay. All surfaces, floors, are cleaned & disinfected and the last thing before leaving the cottage I spritz a pleasant smelling disinfectant dettol spray. The whole cottage is yours for the duration of your stay plus access to stunning farm walks We would love to help make your stay even more memorable and I maybe able to a shopping service and catering. This is subject to availability. I can sometimes offer catered picnics on the farm. We live here and work here on the farm. There is a lovely village pub, The Horse & Cart. The beautiful and Historic town of Rye is only 5 miles away where there is a plethora of cool coffee shops and restaurants. Camber sands and the Sussex coast is easily explored from here, only a short drive away. It is a remote location and if you intend to explore we do recommend a car but if you are looking to escape and not go too far, Waggoners provides a great base and the supermarket is only 15 mins walk. There are loads of walks and cycle routes too. Driving Camber 15mins, Hastings 25 mins, Brighton 1 hr. I am a professional caterer and can offer a restaurant experience in the convenience of your holiday cottage. Or why not take a romantic stroll & explore the surroundings and I can set out a delicious picnic for you. I can also make your stay even easier with a shopping service and you arrive with all groceries packed away and drinks chilling in the fridge.
