Nodding Way Cottage is a great bolt hole for those looking to get away. Comfy and spacious with underfloor heating, a large queen sized bed, built in storage, a neat shower room and a fully equipped kitchen with washing machine. Two leather sofas surround a 42” smart tv and there is Wifi throughout. There is a small, south west sitting out area which gets fantastic late afternoon sun - perfect to sit with a book and glass of wine, or to chat as the locals (often on horseback!) go by. The cottage is a converted barn and retains some features such as high vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. There is a queen sized bed in the bedroom, and a sofa bed in the living area. Due to the size of the property we would recommend the space would suit 2 adults or 2 adults plus up to 2 children. There is on-site parking for 2 cars (one under cover) and good WiFi throughout. On-site covered parking right next to the cottage We are usually at home in the neighbouring property, but if not there is a key safe so access at any time is possible. Weare is a small village in Somerset with over 1,000 years of history. St. Gregory's Church in the village dates from the 11th century and has been designated by English Heritage as a Grade I listed. The area was known for its rich pastures occupied by graziers and dairy farmers that produced good quality cheese and later milk, sent to the burgeoning towns from the local railway line at Axbridge. Cider was also produced in considerable quantities. Whilst not produced in the village any more, there are plenty of local cider makers if that's your tipple! There are some great pubs in the local area. You can walk to them but the absence of footpaths can make the trip a little hazardous. The New Inn at Cross and the Wheatsheaf are the local favourites. As a rural village a car is recommended. Axbridge and Wedmore are picturesque towns and only a few miles away. Then there is the truly delightful city of Wells, only a stones throw from Glastonbury, or around 30 mins drive are the fantastic beaches at Brean & Berrow. We’re happy for you to bring your furry friends but note there is no fenced off area attached to the property. There is, however, a fenced field directly across the lane from the cottage, where morning and evening business can be taken care of.
