Quirky Hideaway - no hidden extra charges!

Beautiful hideaway in rural Norfolk, on the edge of the Broads within the picturesque Waveney Valley. The cart lodge has everything you could need for a relaxed stay in the countryside. With its own front door, kitchen/dining room, bedroom/lounge and toilet/shower room. We also have a small campsite on site. Come and stay with us in our rustic rural quirky converted pub in the beautiful Waveney Valley. Our home was "The Old Sun Inn" & the annex was originally the cart lodge, which still retains some of the old features including beamed ceilings. Ideal for couples or solo travellers. The cart lodge has its own private entrance, a fully equipped kitchen/Dining area, Lounge area with double bed & sofa, smart TV, with radio, DVD player, easy chairs & a Toilet/Shower room. The bedroom has a king size bed that can be split into 2 single beds (on request). We have air source heating which keeps the temperature constant without the need for radiators to be hot. Though attached to our house the cart lodge is fully self contained giving you privacy in which to relax. Guests are invited to use our campsite area to sit by the gently flowing beck, have a picnic or sit watching the sun go down by the fire pit. If you need secure storage for bicycles no problem, just ask. Guests will have direct access with their own front door to the self contained Cart Lodge. We love the airbnb philosophy and enjoy socialising with our guests but understand that people need their own space too. We will always be around to help out where needed.... just ask!! We are situated on the outskirts of a small Norfolk village. On our doorstep you will find beautiful country walks and fishing lakes. Within walking distance you will find a Real Ale pub serving food, an American Style Diner, Village stores with Post office. With 2 miles there is a golf club, bike & canoe hire, indoor swimming pool. The historic town of Bungay is 2 miles away and only 12 miles from the fantastic city of Norwich or the Coast. We provide space to park your car and are also a short walk to the local bus stop. If you have bikes we can also store them for you. If you need a taxi during your stay it is advisable to book in advance, we are happy to provide telephone numbers. We provide basic breakfast essentials along with off road parking & free wifi. As we are in the countryside the mobile phone signal can be hit and miss and the wifi is not fast but more than adequate. We are in quite a rural location however as you will see from the photos there is a small country road that runs past the Cart Lodge therefore there will be occasional road noise, particularly during harvest time or if the windows are open.
