Our home is close to the Sea on the Beara Peninsula, family friendly, and public transport nearby. You’ll love this area , there is a beautiful Nature Reserve , Garnish Island, Bamboo Park etc. . We are a family of 4 & love walking & mountain Biking. There are many places to dine locally . My place is perfect for couples on short stay or families. The area is on the Beara Peninsula & is perfect for walking ,cycling or just driving the beautiful area & taking in the beautiful scenery. We are ideally located at start of Ring of Beara & Kerry Way . Pretty Town of Kenmare is close by & Killarney is an hours drive . We have free lock up for bicycles as well. We can help with any road bike routes. As we are into Mountain Biking we can advise you of any MTB trails in the area or just Leisure cycles . A great base to explore West Cork & Kerry . PRIVATE EN SUITE BATHROOM PLEASE NOTE: .We offer a laundry service which is €5 per load & must be requested on arrival or night before . We will have ready for next morning. Also iron & ironing board is free to use on request . Light Breakfast included, of which includes pastries, fruit , cereals yoghurt , tea or coffee. We do not rent out Kitchen but we can give you extra items on request I.e water , milk tea or coffee. TV in room , kettle , tea, coffee & snack . If you require a full Irish breakfast this is an additional €10 per person & must be booked in advance . We would love to sit & chat with guests but also giving all our guest privacy & space as if they were home from home. Close to the sea & mountains & 4 mins drive from village & shops. A very quiet neighborhood & very friendly. Plenty of choice of places to eat for lunch or dinner. We can also recommend places to visit . Buses go from the village to Cork City & a Summer Bus runs to Kenmare & beyond. Local cab service available . Glengarriff is a small seaside village on the Ring of Beara in Co Cork and is surrounded by rugged hills. Local attractions include the Italian Gardens on Garnish Island, which can be visited by boat. In the nearby Glengarriff Forest you find some of the oldest and most extensive oak and birch groves left in Ireland. A short but steep trail leads up to Lady Bantry's Lookout, offering a stunning vista of Glengarriff and the west Cork area. Walking trails in the area are extensive, kayaking on the bay is regularly scheduled, and live music is frequently available in the evenings at local pubs, particularly during the tourist season. Glengarriff also offers shops, art galleries, pubs, restaurants & other services. PLEASE NOTE FULL IRISH BREAKFAST IS AVAILABLE BUT MUST BOOKED IN ADVANCE . ADULTS €10 per head & is served in our kitchen CHILDREN UNDER 13 FREE. We offer a light Breakfast which is included in price . Consists of yogurts ,fruit, scones or croissants,juice , tea or coffee. Boats to Garnish Island are just across the road from our house. Cyclists are very welcome & if new to the area i can recommend some beautiful trails . We offer a free safe bicycle lock up.
