The rooms on the first floor of this beautiful Georgian Farmhouse are offered as well as the use of the spacious fully equipped kitchen and lounge with an open fire. The farm is surrounded by a beautiful and historic landscape which you are welcome to explore. Beyond this are the cities of Bath Bristol and Wells all within a 30 minute drive. I have 3 listings for different combinations of rooms so please contact me to discuss the options. This offering is a large bedroom with a kingsize bed and the space for a single, at extra cost. There is an additional double bedroom. These two rooms have a private bathroom from a shared landing area. If you only require the one room the other room will not be let out ensuring you have a private bathroom. You are welcome to make use of the well equipped kitchen and the lounge although these areas are shared with any other guests that might be staying and I am occasionaly in the kitchen. Stanton Prior is a small village 7 miles west of Bath and a short walk from Newton Park, home of Bath Spa University. The presence of an Iron-Age Hillfort on the summit of Stantonbury Hill along with ancient trackways through Stanton Prior indicates intense human activity in prehistoric times. There are now just two working farms and a population below 50. There is a well stocked Co-op a mile away in the village of Marksbury where there is also a direct bus route to Bristol and an indirect one to Bath. Although only a country mile from the A39 a car/taxi is required to access public transport Dogs are welcome but will incur an extra cleaning charge of £20 per stay, assistance dogs will not incur this extra charge. 2 dogs maximum.
