The Golden sands of Mullaway beach are seven minutes walk from your door. Grab a coffee from Mullaway General Store on the way, listen to the ocean as you stroll down to the surf. Take our bikes & ride to the restaurants of pretty Woolgoolga. We are only 10 mins off the Pacific highway, 1/2 an hour north of Coffs Harbour. Under 2hrs south of Byron. John and I love to share our home. There is plenty of space for you to enjoy your own quiet time. We have two friendly dogs. We love sharing our large home near the beach at Mullaway. Our house is very spacious, bright and very quiet. Breakfast items are provided, and our chickens produce fresh eggs for your convenience :) Your huge sunny room has a Hamptons style Queen bed. Relax in your rocking chair, read a book and fall asleep to the sound of birdsong after a surf. Your Smart TV has access to Netflix, internet etc. (Not general TV stations). Your wardrobe has plenty of space for bags and cases. The guests shared lounge and dining area is spacious and light. The lounge is also a walk through between the bedrooms and kitchen. On the porch you will find our huge swinging chair and day bed. Best seat in the house I am told! Also there is a webber BBQ available to use, and small outside dining table and seating. We have air conditioning in the main living area, and ceiling fan in your bedroom. The bathroom with shower area is currently a shared guest and family space. There is a separate toilet closet shared by guests (Not used by family). In the large kitchen guests have their own individual shelf in the pantry and fridge with basics such as cereal, bread, jams etc. This is shared by guests and family. Help yourselves to our fresh ground coffee, teas and cooking condiments. A game of table tennis or darts makes a good alternative to a surf on stormy days. We also have badminton and croquet on our huge lawn. If you love dogs this is the perfect place for you! We do have two medium size mix breed (rescue) dogs, who are quite old now, and are very friendly. There may be other guests here at times too. We do live here, although have our own lounge and shower space. There are buses from Woolgoolga to Mullaway, and Coffs Harbour to Mullaway via Woolgoolga. S (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) Having a car would make it easier to get around, so you can explore the Dorrigo National Park, Dolphin sanctuary at Coffs Harbour and some of the 30 beautiful beaches along the coast here. We share our home with our guests and our dogs. We also love to share local knowledge about this fabulous part of Australia. You will therefore see us around the house, but we do like to give you your own space, but will also be there should you need anything at all. We do have our own private lounge, dining and bathroom area at the back of the house. So guests can use the dining and lounge spaces at the front of the house. Mullaway is a quiet and safe hamlet and locally known for being a great longboarder's paradise. It is a hidden gem frequented by locals, and therefore you wont find a more friendly place in Australia :) You can get a great quality coffee, and food from the Mullaway cafe (open until 7am-pm). After enjoying the peace and tranquility of this stunning bay you can walk along the headland to Mullawarra Beach to the north, or on to Arrawarra Beach and Red Rock. Cabins Beach and Darkum are 10 mins walk to the south. If you continue walking south, through Safety Beach, you will arrive at Woolgoolga. (Approx an 50 mins walk, best at low tide). Alternatively you can cycle along a beautiful country lane, and get to Woolgoolga in less than 30 mins. Or along the beach in 20 mins in low tide. In Woolgoolga you will find Woolworths supermarket, many artisan cafes, shops, and also Woolgoolga Surf Lifesaving club, and it's patrolled beach. Heading north, you can walk to the stunning Arrawarra headland and beach, with its beautiful rock pools, and continue up to Corindi Beach and onto red Rock. Located just half an hour north of Coffs Harbour and two hours south of Byron Bay, it's a great place to stop off. There is a bus stop 5 mins walk away, on Mullaway Drive, near the cafe. The 372 runs approximately every 1/2 hour into Coffs Harbour. The 170 runs once daily to Byron Bay (One change) We have bikes and bike helmets available for you to use. The bike lanes here are fabulous, and very safe. You can explore many of the 30 beaches in our area by cycling. It is compulsory to wear helmets, which we can also supply. We also have on premises plenty of off road parking for motor homes, boat trailers and cars should you need to park them up. Mullaway beach is not a patrolled beach. Although it is quite a sheltered bay, it is a surf beach, and care must be taken when going out into the surf. As a patrolling Surf Life saver, I am happy to give any advice needed on surf safety.
