One of our Rutland Property Lets, this contemporary ground floor apartment resides within the 'old constables'. In the heart of the historic, Uppingham, this accommodation is close to local bars, restaurants, art galleries and antique shops. Nestling in the county of Rutland and convenient for Uppingham school, nearby is Rutland Water, fantastic for cyclists, walkers and sailors. Early check in/late check out may be available by prior arrangement, for £15 surcharge. A one bedroom apartment with ensuite and a large kitchen and lounge diner. Outside is a pretty patio area which benefits from a good amount of sunshine in the summer. Clean lines in a comfortable yet modern flat housed a beautifully restored historic building. Art by local artist Fenella Beauchamp adorn the walls giving you a flavour of the arty nature of the town. There is a small utility room with a washer dryer. A large single parking space which is close to the rear access. A separate WC room so all guests can sleep undisturbed. There is also a lovely patio garden with table seating which is bathed in afternoon sun. I will be available by mobile and live only a short distance away. Uppingham is a popular historic market town and is in a fantastic position for sightseers. Transport links are great for several towns and cities. Right over the road is Goldmarks a Mecca for those looking to enhance their art collection. The local '747' bus will take your from Uppingham to Leicester. Local buses to Corby, Oakham, Rutland Water and more. There are rail links from Oakham and Market Harborough. Uppingham is situated a short distance from the A47, linking Leicester and Peterborough and is a 20 min drive from Oakham. The Constables has a rich and varied history. Built in1834 as the local workhouse and used as a hospital during the Great War, it became part of the School as a boys’ house in 1926. In 2006, with coeducation flourishing throughout the School, it was converted into a girls’ house. It is has now been given a new lease of life is fantastic modern accommodation in this amazing historic space.
