The Lodge

The Lodge is a cosy caravan with its own deck area, surrounded by trees, rolling hills, birds, kangaroos, and our resident horses. This accomodation is small and simple, and is absolutely perfect if you are wanting to escape to a quiet and peaceful place to call your own. There are 75 acres for you to explore, including a huge creek bed that you can walk through from one end of the property to the other. There is a well known Italian restaurant and a general store just down the road. The caravan is small but neat and tidy. The surrounding deck is perfect for a lunch time BBQ (small BBQ provided by us for your use) or to watch the sun set. The toilet block (a 100 metre walk from the caravan) consists of a separate toilet and shower with double shower heads. On some occasions this toilet block may also be used by other guests (we have two Airbnb’s), if this is an issue please contact us. There is a fire pit with plenty of firewood to keep you warm. The best part is waking up to the sounds of the local birds, and the horses, which you may be able to see from your bedroom window! **Please note that the caravan does not have air conditioning so can get quite warm on hot days. If this is an issue for you please check out our other accommodation option on Airbnb (The Saloon), which has air conditioning. The Lodge is located on our private property where we reside, but completely separate to the house and in its own private area. We will give you your space to enjoy your stay, but are also available to answer any questions whenever you may need. Kanmantoo is a quiet and peaceful small town. We do, however, have one of the most well known and popular Italian restaurants in all of South Australia. Be sure to book dinner in there if you enjoy a great steak, pasta, and wine. There is also a general store just down the road, selling all the necessities, including coffee, hot food, snacks, drinks, milk and bread etc. Kanmantoo is a short drive to many of the wonderful wineries, restaurants, and other attractions of the Adelaide Hills. Please note that at times, there may be other people staying on the property. We run two Airbnb’s and we rent a paddock out for camping on occasions. Therefore there may be other people using the bathroom during your stay. If this is an issue, please message me to discuss the dates you would like to stay and I can block out all other accommodation etc so that you are the only guests.
