We are close to Te Awamutu and Kihikihi (5 mins). 25 mins from Mystery Creek Event Centre (Fieldays), Cambridge, Avantidrome, Mt Maungatautari, Lake Karapiro, Waitomo Caves, Mt. Pirongia, Hamilton (Lions Tour 2017)& Waitomo Caves Raglan (57 mins), Tauranga & Mount Mangaunui (1 hr 35 mins), Rotorua (1.25 hrs) Auckland Airport (1hr 52mins) There is another room available that has a queen bed, listed separately as Bedroom 1. Bedroom 2 has two single real beds (one is king single), each has an electric blanket (for winter use only) and there is a thermostatically controlled panel heater in the room. There is a private bathroom shower, bath and vanity. There is a separate toilet. Private access to the guest bedrooms and bathroom area. Access to shared space with the owners is possible. We are happy to interact with guests and answer any questions regarding things to see and do in the area and to make recommendations for dinner. We live in quiet rural location just minutes from Te Awamutu and State Highway 3 where there are other lifestyle blocks. Views across the farmland are beautiful. We have a tree lined driveway and a large mature garden. Ample parking space. There is local taxi service. There are several eating places to choose from in Te Awamutu (5 minutes drive) There are evening eateries The Redoubt Bar & Eatery, Fahrenheit Restaurant & Bar, Lemongrass Thai Restaurant, Heart of India, Cafe Anatolia, Peach & Porker &The Long Acre Grill. Other daytime eateries include Churchills Cafe, The Red Kitchen, The Roast Hut, Dawn till Dusk, several sushi eateries. There are many fast food restaurants. A NZ specialty is Fish & Chips. We recommend Radars Fish shop in KihiKihi, were you can purchase traditional NZ fish & chips and bring back to eat at our place.
