"The Quarters" at Windsor House Walhalla
Adjacent to Windsor House is The Quarters. This is a fully self-contained three bedroom residence. The property was converted into a living quarters in the 1990s and features an original rock wall. Note: The Quarters has a minimum 2 night stay and guests must BYO towels. Adjacent to Windsor House is The Quarters. This is a fully self-contained three bedroom residence. The property was converted into a living quarters in the 1990s and features an original rock wall. The property contains a kitchen and dining area with plenty of space for families or groups to relax near the wood heater. A selection of DVDs and books are available for guests to use. Two bedrooms are accessed via a couple of stairs, one contains a queen size bed and the other bedroom contains two single beds. The third bedroom with a queen size bed is on a mezzanine level above the living area. The Quarters has its own bathroom with a shower over the bath. Please supply your own towels. Bedding will be supplied. A high chair and portacot are available upon request. Guests are kindly requested to be mindful of their water consumption as the property is on a limited supply of tank water. Children must be supervised at all times. The Quarters is accessed via a bridge over Stringers Creek. Parking is available opposite the property. We are contactable via mobile during your stay. We may be staying in Windsor House next door to The Quarters if we have guests at that property. There are lots of things to do in Walhalla. Take a stroll down the main street and enjoy a coffee and the historic buildings. Visit the local gold mine for a tour or take a train ride on the Walhalla Goldfields railway line. There are many bush walks in the area and you can also walk to the cricket ground on a hill above the town. Visiting the local cemetery is a must see. Walhalla is a great place to unwind and relax and step back in time. Please note there is only mobile reception for Telstra customers. If you require data when you are here then consider buying a Telstra sim card to use on your phone. There is no petrol station in Walhalla. You will need a car.
