Only 6 miles away, is the idyllic town of Bradford-On-Avon, steeped in history with beautiful walks along the canal and river, with plenty of pubs to stop at along the way! The Old post Office is perfectly situated for a rural escape. The historic City of Bath is only half an hour by car or 20 minutes by train from Trowbridge. Here you can explore the Roman Baths, enjoy an open top tour of the city by bus, walk along the Bath skyline or simply sit back and enjoy a coffee and a Bath bun! Also located nearby is Longleat, Stonehenge, Avebury, Glastonbury, Westbury White Horse, Lacock and Bristol to name but a few. You will have access to the whole property with a key left for you in the key safe. It's very quiet and has walking routes in every direction. Within the village is a small play park, Village hall (which often has events going on), church, manor house and village school. The next village of Steeple Ashton is walking distance away, where you will find a little country pub and beer garden. The surrounding villages, annually hosts the locally famous 'Scarecrow trail' - usually around April and May time! The best way to get around is by car, however a taxi can take you into Trowbridge (only 2 miles away) where there is a train station and bus routes. Subject to weather, the lawn will be cut every Friday between 11.00 and 13.00
