In the expansive grounds of a 16th-century timber-framed house, is the perfect retreat à deux. Way up a simple track, you already feel yourself unwinding as you approach your traditional timber framed hideaway awaiting you. The Self Catering Cottage in Tenbury Wells, Worcestershire sits in unspoilt rolling countryside and was built using locally sourced stone, oak and handcrafted leaded light windows. The cottage has fine details, charm and character. Settle on the weighty leather sofa next to the wood-burner stacked high with logs from the nearby woods. The kitchen is well equipped, open plan and nestled around the Aga. It would be a treat of an evening to follow the babbling brook through the ancient orchid-dotted woodland.
