The Stables is a stylishly renovated, fully equipped, detached, one bedroom cottage, nestled on the edge of the Cotswolds on a tranquil 20 acre smallholding with a stream running through the fields...total relaxation...experience a slice of the good life. The Stables is available all year round for country walks, peaceful slumbers in the orchard, al fresco dining on the patio by the stream and snug times by the woodburner. It is bright, warm and welcoming inside and beautifully positioned away from the farmhouse in a peaceful setting, close to the stream which runs all year and overlooking the old orchard with its abundance of wildlife. Luxuriously furnished - it offers a large upstairs bedroom with vaulted ceiling, king-size bed and a palatial en-suite bathroom with large walk-in shower and a wonderful cast iron roll-top bath - relax and enjoy the orchard view. Downstairs, the open-plan kitchen and living area are flooded with light. The underfloor heated kitchen is well equipped with fridge/freezer, cooker, microwave and dishwasher, plus washer-dryer and the woodburner in the corner of the living area invites you to snuggle down in front of the fire. Relaxation, tranquility and escapism is the name of the game - but should you wish contact with the outside world there is fast Wifi and a smart TV to keep you connected! A haven for pure relaxation. You are welcome to walk around our fields to visit the animals and nearby footpaths soon join the Cotswold Way My husband and I live in the main farmhouse , with our teenage son, two black labs plus our two daughters when visiting home from work and Uni! Farm life and house renovations keep us busy but we are on hand if required and are happy to give advice on the local area. Within walking distance is the village of Kingswood with a pub and village shop. Also close by - 20 minutes walk (uphill!) is the charming town of Wotton under Edge with a fantastic array of independently owned shops and pubs including the award winning Falcon Steakhouse - always popular! We are lucky enough to have access to an abundance of beautiful walks along the cotswold edge straight from the farm, including the Cotswold Way. Popular local attractions nearby include the beautiful estates of Newark and Dyrham Park, Woodchester Mansion and the Rococco gardens at Painswick. The antique mecca of Tetbury, the historic Spa towns of Cheltenham and Bath, the fabulous city of Bristol are all close by. Traditional Cotswold villages of Castle Combe, Bibury, Bourton on the Water to name but a few are all within an hour from the farm and Westonbirt Arboretum, Slimbridge Wetland Centre all provide year long interest alongside famous sporting events such as Badminton Horse Trials and Cheltenham Races. You won't be bored! We have many wonderful walks from the cottage but to get the most of exploring the beautiful area it is best to have a car as public transport is limited. You are welcome to bring bikes The cottage has a Smart TV, Smart speaker and free fast Wifi. A welcome pack of fresh free range eggs, bread, butter, milk, tea and coffee will be provided There is another one bed holiday cottage on the farm - The Cowshed- also on Airbnb , should you wish to share your holiday with friends / family . They are set apart so that you can be independent but near enough to enjoy each others company and share meals should you so wish.
