Villa Eri
Villa Rosa is located in the traditional village Anatoli. Built at 600m above sea level, at the southern slope of Mt. Dikti, it enjoys the panoramic view of the city of Ierapetra and of the Libyan Sea. Careful selection of materials and furniture add up to a beautiful aesthetic result. The exterior smoothly adapts to the rest of the village without compromising its charm, and the interior provides the warmth and coziness that guests need to feel right at home. Villa Rosa is centrally located in Anatoli, less than one minute from the main road. After a few meters of walking in the picturesque alleys, the visitor can see the entrance and, upon entering, is welcomed by the patio overviewing the Libyan Sea. The property was fully re-built based on the remnants of the old stone house that was in its place, originating in 1864, following the same floor plan with its varying levels and characteristic traditional arches, all contributing to both an architecturally interesting and a practically convenient house. The Villa at a spacious 300 sq. meters can conveniently host up to 10 people. It features two main living areas. The main villa has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 kitchen, 1 dining area and 2 living rooms. The second living area is independent from the first one, albeit connected to it, and it has 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom. 1 kitchen, and 1 living/dining area. The shared ground floor patio features a charcoal-based BBQ and a sitting area. The villa is equipped with laundry and personal care equipment, kitchen utensils and appliances, as well as hot water (heated with solar or electric energy). Anatoli has a long history with the Venetians exploiting its strategic position in 1100 B.C. and in earlier years with contributing to the Cretan Revolution against the Turkish. Away from the hectic city lifestyle, hidden in the rich woods of Mt. Dikti, the “balcony to the Libyan Sea”, as Anatoli is called, hosts a number of traditional stone houses, two restaurants, two cafeterias, a school, and numerous archaeological and religious monuments including orthodox churches and monasteries.
