Hillside Cottage, Berrima a luxury 3 bed cottage

A beautiful 1843 attached cottage. Located In the centre of Historic Berrima village Closest holiday rental to Bendooley Estate & to many of the other Southern Highlands wedding venues with the beautiful Bendooley Estate just 2km away. Hillside Cottage is the perfect venue for groups attending local weddings or for groups and couples wishing to enjoy all that the Southern Highlands has to offer. There are over 18 local wineries and some top class golf courses and restaurants in the area. It is only 90 minutes from both Canberra and Sydney. There are 3 beautiful heritage decorated bedrooms plus facilities for extra guests with a queen size sofabed in the cottage lounge. (The Sofabed is ONLY available upon request). All bedrooms and the lounge have ensuite bathrooms. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE are following government guidelines in regard to COVID vaccinations. Currently we have dropped the need to view certificates but if guidelines change ours will. ( we appreciate your understanding) Features: Cottage Lounge: Queen size sofa bed. Cottage Kitchenette:This has been sympathetically renovated to showcase the original cottage kitchen. It is set up as a kitchenette with a mini microwave, 2 burner induction stovetop and a small fridge. There is a Nespresso coffee maker a SMEG 4 slice toaster and kettle. Please note that as it is the original kitchen it is small by modern standards. There is no oven and the fridge is small. A great kitchen for a breakfast or pasta meal but not cordon-bleu creations. We have so many wonderful dining options within walking distance. It is an interior room. The door and window are display only showing where they were originally. They are backlit for effect. Bedroom 1: The Hay Room Queen size 4 poster bed with ensuite bathroom. Bedroom 2: The Brady Room. Queen size sleigh bed with ensuite bathroom. Bedroom 3: The Garden Room. Queen size 4 poster bed with ensuite bathroom. This room is separate from the cottage living area hence it has its own coffee and tea making facilities. It also has its own private courtyard. Outside: Enjoy sitting on the cottage verandah for a morning coffee, afternoon tea or sundowners. There is no access to the main house gardens. I AMY CONSIDER 8 GUESTS. PLEASE ENQUIRE. The Cottage is attached to Hillside House where we live. You have your own separate front door and verandah but we may be around in the gardens and say hi. We leave our guests to themselves unless they need any help from us. We do have two Golden Retrievers who may pop around to say "hello" so we advise anyone who is nervous of dogs to reconsider if our property is suitable for them. TOURISM NSW HAS AWARDED BERRIMA THE BEST SMALL TOWN IN NSW FOR 2021!!! Berrima Village is truly one of the most beautiful historic villages in Australia. Berrima is widely recognised today as the best preserved example of a Georgian village in Australia. In recent years it has become known as the gastronomic centre of the Southern Highlands. It has a one-hatted restaurant "Eschalot" and the highly regarded "Josh's Cafe" restaurant. It has award winning cafes and patisserie's. Berrima's patisserie "Gumnut" have won the award for the last 18 years!! What a fabulous choice to have! Berrima also boasts a great local pub. The Surveyor General Inn, which is Australia's oldest continuously licensed inn. All of these amenities are a moments walk from Hillside Cottage. In addition there are beautiful gift shops and quality clothes stores to enjoy plus local museums and an Alpaca Centre. The village also has some wonderful river walks and a local swimming beach at the end of Oxley Street, which runs just in front of Hillside. Berrima is centrally located in the Southern Highlands with easy access to the towns of Bowral, Mittagong and Moss Vale. The beautiful and popular wedding venue, The Bendooley Estate, is just 2 kms up the road while the Centennial Vineyards wedding venue and winery is less than 10 minutes drive away. the lovely villages of Robertson and Burrawang are an easy 20 minute drive away as are at the beautiful Fitzroy Falls. Berrima also provides easy access to the 18 wineries of this region along with the numerous golf courses. PETS UPON PRIOR APPROVAL: You must request prior to booking if you wish to bring a pet and receive prior approval. You will be charged an extra $75 cleaning fee. Please note we will try and accommodate a late checkout in order that you can take full advantage of your time away. Please advise if you will need to use the sofa bed. We offer single night stays from Monday through to Thursday upon request. The 4 poster beds are not suitable for children under 5.
