On the first floor there are 3 bedrooms (2 with double bed and 1 room with 1 double and 1 single bed) and a bathroom with washing machine and a hair dryer. In front of the living room and kitchen there is a large terrace with swimming pool and a magnificent view on the valley and nearby hills that offer peace and quiet in great comfort. The house is located in a nice old little village, surrounded by hills and woods, in a quiet area that is quite similar to Tuscany or rural Istria. The village has 2 grocery stores and few very nice traditional restaurants not far away. House is only 5 minutes drive away from the highway Trieste /or Ljubljana to Rijeka, and it’s in the immediate vicinity to Rijeka (15 minutes drive), an important Croatian economic and cultural center, and Opatija Riviera (15 minutes drive), one of the loveliest tourist destinations in Croatia. House is also only 10 minutes drive away from a picturesque town of Kastav (if you are thinking of renting the house in August, be sure to visit the Kastav Blues Festival). The village lies in the foot of Ucka Mountain and its hills are ideal for hiking and biking. The nearby town of Opatija is at the forefront of Croatian tourism due to its seafront location, idyllic atmosphere and long-lasting tourist tradition. Both daytime activities and nightlife in Opatija won’t disappoint you. Relax with a day of swimming and sun at the beach or try windsurfing, scuba diving or sailing. Opatija's parks contain about three hundred species of trees and plants that are legally protected as horticultural monuments. Among them, Japanese Camelia (Camelia japonica) became the symbol of the town. The Kvarner islands: Krk (connected with the mainland by a bridge), Cres, Losinj and Rab are also in the immediate vicinity because these islands are all reachable from Rijeka with good sea connections (ferries or catamarans).
