Holiday Cottage Aberfoyle with wood burning stove

Trossachs Gate Cottage is a garden cottage in the centre of the picturesque village of Aberfoyle in the heart of The Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park in Central Scotland. The Cottage comfortably sleeps 4 persons in 2 bedrooms (a twin and a double) and has a wood burning stove and parking. It is decorated and equipped to a high standard and has everything you will need for a relaxing holiday or short stay in the scenic area of The Trossachs. The Cottage has 2 bedrooms, 1 double and a twin bed room. Built around the early 1900s as a stable building, it has formally been a meeting hall on the upper level and a chapel on the lower level! It has been tastefully updated and modernised by the present owners over the last 30 years. It is well equipped and decorated and is in a perfect location for exploring The Trossachs and beyond. Trossachs Gate Cottage is on the upper garden level and has oak flooring throughout, a wood burning stove in the living room and gas central heating. It is double glazed so is warm and cozy in the winter and quiet in the busy summer months. There is a well stocked garden with sunny seating areas and a Gazebo for outside dining with all tableware provided. The Gazebo has solar lighting and oil burning lamps to create a lovely dining ambience. The property is divided into 2 levels and guests have total access to the garden level which in the past was the mason's meeting hall. It has its own entrance and parking spaces and is only 1 minute walk to the centre of Aberfoyle and all its amenities. There is a pedestrian access gate from The Dukes Pass Road. We are living in the old chapel courtyard part of the property so are always on hand in person or by mobile to give assistance and advice when needed Aberfoyle is one of the gateway villages of the Trossachs and Loch Lomond National Park and is also the hub of the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park and is just 5 minutes from the Forest Visitor Centre on the Dukes Pass where visitors can get lots of information about the area. We also have a Tourist Information Centre in The Main Street of Aberfoyle as well as a bank, Post Office, Pharmacy and a choice of pubs and places to eat. We are really a great base to see this scenic part of Scotland. There is a public bus service to Glasgow and Stirling daily and also taxi services that can provide airport pickup and drop off The Cottage is in the heart of the village and is surrounded by forest and walking trails a few minutes away. Cycle hire is available in The Village and we can store them safely.
