Lovely independent unit.

Our place is a 5 minute drive from the airport which being relatively small would be unusual to not have taxis waiting outside. The ocean and parks are close by and we are within a 10 minute drive to the Darwin CBD. It is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. We have a ten year old daughter and one cat, both vaccinated and non-intrusive. The unit is fully self-contained, has a lovely ambience and great outdoors space with a BBQ and access to a pool and large deck. It is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. The pool and deck area are always available for guests and it's always lovely to see this space in use. The laundry is also available I just ask that you confer with me first so I can co-ordinate the family washing accordingly. There is a clothes airer in the unit for small items with a clothes line available for larger items. I simply ask that once your washing is dry you remove it from the line within a reasonable time frame. I have a home based office so am nearly always available to answer questions. We are happy to have a chat but will typically leave you in peace to simply enjoy a quiet, private stay. There is parking available within the property for guests. We are within a five minute walk to public transport however it is not a direct route into the city, backtracking to our main shopping centre Casuarina before going into town. Darwin also has Uber & Hi Oscar as less expensive alternatives to a taxi. If you are looking at going to some of the more renowned natural tourist destinations we would recommend hiring a car - the Territory is quite vast! Fogg Dam (birdwatching) & Litchfield National Park are both day trips while for Katherine Gorge & Kakadu you would easily want 3 days. As this is a family home we ask that guests respect this. We have a young daughter and simply request that you are mindful of this and moderate your language - unfortunately sound travels! We do our utmost to respect your privacy during your stay however if you are after a 100% private space this may not be what you're after.
