Seaside Retreat

Whenuapai is a semi rural seaside village in the greater Auckland area. It is situated on the upper Waitemata Harbour. The ambience is one of peacefulness and tranquility. Auckland Airport is a 35 minute drive and Auckland Central is 26 minutes (at off peak times). The accommodation is the downstairs area of our home, totally private. It has 2 queen size beds in 2 rooms so is suitable for 2 to 4 people. The larger room opens onto a covered patio area. You can walk down to waters edge. A small deck is in the garden overlooking the water for you to enjoy the evening in a peaceful setting. Guests are able to use the covered downstairs patio and go down to the water's edge. I am available by phone or text. Happy to interact if I'm home but mainly I give guests space and time to relax and do their own thing. We are a coastal community and often have activities / meetings in our local hall such as quiz nights, garden club, dancing and yoga . There is a group " Living Whenuapai " which is a group of residents who are working to control noxious weeds and pests and planting our beach reserve with native plants to enhance native bird life. You will need a car. It's also a good place to go for a walk or bike ride. There are several wineries in the Kumeu area and stunning west coast beaches for you to explore. Restaurants are available in Whenuapai and at Hobsonville Point.
