Between the center of Porto(50 km distance) and Douro Valley,which you can reach both by train(railway station of Marco the Canaveses is about 5 km distance),Quinta do Castro is the right place to stay at the country side Pools,court of tennis,barbecue,common room,playground,gardens,and so on We know very well the region,so we are able to give the guest all the support they need,by email,phone,... People are very kind and helpful.Living here is very calm There's a grocers and a cafe about 750 m distance and the railway station is 6km distance,so you can visit Porto or Regua\Pinhao,without driving a car.
