Large guest room at Ronans Rest

Better than 'just a room' - this is a dedicated large guest room in my home. NOTE -I am happy to host if you & all on your booking are fully vaccinated. It has own TV - SKY/cable, Netflix capable and unlimited Wifi access. Off street parking is usu available. The rate for this room is per person - the room has queen & king single beds to accommodate up to 3 people, enter the number of guests at booking. If you are bringing children aged 2-12 please enquire for a special rate - $25 per child. Our home is a large 1930's villa that we have renovated in sympathy with its age, while adding conveniences for modern living. Situated in a quiet tree lined suburb Large room with queen size bed and king single bed, both with oversized duvets. This room can accommodate single, couple, twin share (2 guests in 2 beds sharing the room) or couple + single. Book the number if guests you need and let us know if you want double or twin. Guests share family bathroom with hosts and other guests. A large bathroom with twin basins, shower and bath all supplied by instant gas heated hot water (no risk of cold shower) and toilet; and there is also a smaller guest bathroom with toilet & wash basin. Robes are provided for your convenience. Stay connected with free WiFi high speed fibre internet. Charging power board by bedside with direct USB charger ports and plugs for your electrical gear. Our home is centrally heated for year round comfort. Off street parking available. Continental breakfast & evening meals by arrangement with your hosts for extra charge. If you are at a point in your travels where you need to catch up on some laundry, complimentary cold water wash and line dry (small charge if you need to use the drier) Guests have their own dedicated guest room with smart TV or are welcome to join their hosts in the main lounge. The outdoor covered deck is a great place to spend time after a day's travelling or dry some laundry - wash some clothes and leave with a suitcase full of clean things. ($2 per load if you need to use the dryer please) Make a hot drink or light snack in the kitchen but guests are not able to cook their own meals. For a small charge to cover costs our guests can enjoy a light breakfast or share our evening meal. Guests can choose to keep their own company to unwind and reflect on their day, or join us if they want company. We are on hand with advice on places to go and how to get there should that be needed. We live in a quiet tree-lined street in a nice suburb of established owner occupier homes. Local shops, including cafes, Indian, Chinese as well as Fish & chips takeaways, small supermarket, hair salon and pharmacy are a 5 minute walk away, near the station. Trains to Wellington leave every 30 minutes. There's a bus stop a few doors along at the corner that passes through the main Lower Hutt shopping/city area connecting with buses to other areas. A flat 7 minute walk to the train station and from there 20 minutes to the heart of Wellington CBD, waterfront precinct and Westpac stadium. We are closer to the CBD than many Wellington suburbs. For those travelling through New Zealand using the Picton ferries our home is a convenient 20 minute drive from the Wellington terminals. We have two cats who spend time indoors as well as venturing outside.
