The Hayloft is a unique, totally private suite in the picturesque seaside village of St.Bees. Built onto a barn conversion home, the space is clean & modern but with plenty of character features. St.Bees beach is a five minute walk away & the beautiful Lake District is accessible within a short drive. We can provide a secure space for your bikes. PLEASE NOTE: Due to strict Covid-19 hygiene rules we’ve unfortunately had to increase our cleaning charge. Please contact us for requests & q’s. With it's own entrance, bathroom & living area The Hayloft is beautifully designed, spacious and totally private for you to come and go as you please. Upstairs there's an amazing bright space with exposed beams and a view of the stars at night! There’s a comfy double bed and a reading corner with armchair & lots of books. Downstairs there’s a lovely snug area with comfy sofa & smart TV with Netflix, and a modern bathroom with a shower & free toiletries. Free access to wifi. Please note that there’s no kitchen, but there's tea / coffee making facilities & a microwave. Dogs are allowed but the Hayloft is not suited to multiple or large dogs, and please let us know before your arrival if you're bringing a pooch. (No other pets allowed, sorry). Full access to the barn area outside, and a key to the guest suite. Free on street parking close to the property. We live in the main house so we'll be around if you need anything urgently- but we'll mostly just get in touch via airbnb or text. The village of St. Bees is on the western coast of Cumbria, four miles south of Whitehaven. It has a long sandy beach, which is 5-7 mins walk from The Hayloft. St Bees Head, the westernmost point of Cumbria, is the start of the ‘Coast to Coast walk’. An RSPB nature reserve on the headland is home to England’s only colony of Black Guillemots. Puffins, terns and other sea birds can also be spotted! There are observation and information points all along the headland. St.Bees Priory dates back to the 11th century, and the beautiful church & grounds are accessible via the courtyard of the development that the Hayloft is built on. Some of the most stunning views in the Lake District are just a short drive away. We can recommend lots of beautiful walks & hikes. There is some on street parking available for one car. St.Bees train station is 10 mins walk. A car is highly recommended for getting around as public transport is a little unreliable in the area and there is no bus service! Tea and coffee facilities and a microwave but no full kitchen. We'll recommend plenty of great pubs & restaurants in the area. One comfy double bed, recommended for two adults.
