Recently refurbished, this little cottage is adjacent to a private home in the picturesque Midlothian area. Best suited to someone with their own transport. There are a selection of restaurants, tourist walks and attractions. Approx 8 miles to the centre of Edinburgh with a good bus and train link to the city. Ideal for attending weddings at Dalhousie Castle or for escaping the hustle and bustle of The Fringe. Borders railway 30 mins walk 5 min drive and free parking at station.Bus 10 min walk Entire one bedroom cottage with private parking on the outskirts of Edinburgh, nearby to Dalhousie Castle. Edinburgh city centre accessible by train in 18 minutes. Easy access to all major roads. One bedroom with double bed, shower room, kitchen with appliances, living room and conservatory dining room. Please note it is not suitable for children or infants as there are dogs and cats on the premises. Guests have access to entire cottage and small garden around conservatory. I live adjacent to the cottage and so I am around most of the time. If not I'm usually still within the area and always contactable. Rural setting but with easy access to all local amenities and Scotland's capital city. Bus stop 10 minutes walk away.. Borders railway 30 minutes walk or 10 min drive ( free parking ) at station The Borders Railway is a short walk 35 minutes or drive (park and ride available at the station) away. You can be in the centre of Edinburgh within 18 minutes or in the heart of the Borders in less than 45 minutes. Within walking distance 10 minute walk of a frequent bus service to the centre of Edinburgh. Easy access to major roads by car and Edinburgh Airport is 25 minutes drive. The walking distance to Dalhousie Castle makes the cottage ideal for guests attending weddings and events at the Castle. Local taxis are available from nearby Bonnyrigg or Dalkeith.
