The Blue House.

The Blue House is a comfortable and cosy cabin tucked away in its own private "secret" garden within the grounds of our 17th century cottage, conveniently located half way between the stunning South West Coast with its beaches and estuaries and Dartmoor National Park. We are surrounded by countryside and yet within a short walking distance to the village of Yealmpton with all its amenities. Plymouth is only 7 miles away. There is a designated guest parking space with a walk of approximately 100 yds through our gardens to your front door. We provide a lightweight trolley to ferry your belongings to the B.H, (If it rains, wellies are a good idea). The Blue House garden is secluded and for your exclusive use. There is an extensive network of public footpaths starting just outside our front gate with the River Yealm and estuary just 10 minutes walk away. The Dartmoor National Park is only 6 miles away. The South West Coastal Path is 3 miles away. We will greet you on your arrival and show you to the Blue House, then leave you to your own devices to relax and enjoy your stay. We live in the grounds in the main house with our lovely dog Dulie and will usually be on hand should you need any help. Just call or text us. The village of Yealmpton is a ten minutes walk or two minutes drive away. There you will find two pubs serving excellent food as well as a Chinese restaurant/takeaway, a coffee shop, garage, post office, organic farm shop, hairdresser, etc. In the nearby village of Brixton is a local chippy. Newton Ferrers, Noss Mayo and the coast are approximately two miles away . Dartmoor National Park is approximately five miles away . Plymouth with all its facilities is only seven miles away. We have lived in Devon for more than 30 years, and will be able to offer you some advice on things to do and places of interest in the area. We live in the country on the edge of the village a 10min walk from the shops. There is a bus service in the village.
