Pembroke is a lovely and peaceful area. It's very close to the popular touristic areas St Julians and Sliema which one can get to on foot or by bus, and a direct bus can be caught to the beautiful capital city of Malta, Valletta. Long walks by the seafront or a quick dip at the beach outside our house will add a special touch to your stay. A grocer and pharmacy can be found around the corner from our house. Most of the "must see" places on the island are easily accessible by bus or by walk from here. St Julian’s is a lovely 20 minute walk from our house, Sliema is a 20 minute bus ride, and Valletta a 30 minute bus ride with the bus stop directly outside our house. One can also opt to get the ferry from Sliema to Valletta which is a lovely experience. The bus stop outside our house is called ‘Malfeggiani’. One can opt to buy cash tickets: "Bus rates: Winter €1.50, Summer €2.00, Night Service €3.00. Tickets can be purchased from the Bus Driver on all our Buses. These Cash Tickets are Single Journey tickets that can be used to get to any destination within two hours, including interchanging. Summer rates apply between mid-June and mid-October." (Information obtained from Malta Public Transport website) Or order a travel bus card in advance, which is what most guests tend to go for. One can find all of the information needed on their website; (Website hidden by Airbnb) One can also opt to rent a car or scooter, depending on your preference. Several car rental companies can be found in Malta, I could also help suggest a few if you need it. If this would be your option, there is ample free on street parking available in the white boxes outside our house. You will find a mini-supermarket (Pembroke Supermarket), Pharmacy (Pembroke Pharmacy) and a stationery shop (Watermark) just around the corner from our house. There is a slightly bigger supermarket called InstaStore just down the road from our house. You can also find a larger supermarket (Greens) just a 15 min walk away. If you need me to book an airport transfer, I will happily do so if you let me know of this in advance. The cost is usually between €20-€25.
