Highland Bear Lodge - Highland Room

Highland Bear Lodge is a Scottish baronial styled Lodge set on a hillside in Glenurquhart with spectacular views. Just 10 minutes from Loch Ness & Urquhart Castle and all its attractions. Great stop for North Coast 500 and the Isle of Skye. Glen Affric 15 mins away. We are in the heart of Outlander country. Enjoy the use of the lounge with roaring log fires and stag heads. We have deer in the garden and red squirrels. Highland Bear Lodge is a traditional Scottish Baronial home. The Highland Room has a brand new bed with 200 thread count bedding and a superking bed. There is a generous hospitality tray and a fridge. The private bathroom has a walk in shower and bath and jack and jill sinks with fluffy towels and luxury toiletries. Guests can enjoy 14 acres of grounds and a magnificent lounge with huge fireplace. There is a lovely seating area with spectacular views across Glen Urquhart. Guests have a lovely room and private bathroom - use of the lounge and all outside areas plenty of parking Highland Bear Lodge is set in deep forest in Glen Urquart 5 mins from Loch Ness and its main attractions.The B & B has spacious comfortable newly refurbished rooms with everything you would expect in a small luxury hotel. We have four poster beds and stunning views across the loch. With huge log fires and comfortable sofas our guest lounge is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine of a wee dram. We have stags , red deer, red squirrels, foxes, badgers, stunning birds of prey and owls hooting in the garden. We also have bats in the belfry! which you can see flying in the twilight in the summer months. There is a prize winning herd of Highland Cattle in the field at the bottom of our drive. Although we have yet to see the elusive Nessie we are convinced there is something BIG in Loch Ness! You may not be lucky enough to see Nessie but a cruise on Loch Ness is a must. You need a car to access and enjoy everything the Highlands has to offer. We are very happy to provide maps and information so you get the best from the highlands.
