Attractive woodlands for great walks & hiking in the area. Cycle Hire in Charminster road. Easy to get to Charminster restaurants and Castle Point shopping, Wareham, Ringwood, etc. Southampton is only an hour's drive away - can take just 40 minutes. Easy train ride to Weymouth, Southampton, Portsmouth etc. Pleasant location for sightseeing with Christchurch nearby (Kingston Lacy, Hengistbury Head, Badbury Rings and many other National Trust sites etc), Wimborne Market 20 mins drive away, Poole Harbour 20 mins drive, easy access to London in 1.5 hours to Richmond down the Wessex Way and M3 for day trips etc . Only 15 mins walk to Bournemouth town centre or 5 mins drive.. Why not take a boat ride to Brownsea Island & a picnic for a day trip there (wildlife sanctuary)? Salisbury and Winchester are about one hour's drive away. You can drive to Richmond in London in just 1 hour 45 mins at offpeak times! You can even take a day trip to London which can be as little as 1hr 40 mins to Richmond /Twickenham area & is a straight and easy run if you leave non-rush hour. Visit Isle of White on a ferry crossing, why not spend a day or two there, exploring? Or visit Wimborne Mill and see the Craft Exibitions there?
