Complimentary wine and cheese platter on arrival. Stroll through our private bush walk to view rare King Ferns growing naturally. Local shops, take away restaurants a short 10 minute drive. This retreat conveys openness, tranquility, luxury. Lay back, rest your eyes, savour the smells of the forest in flower and enjoy the silence of the Australian bush broken only by bird song, cicadas, rain on a tin roof if you are lucky, and the wind rustling through the trees. We are Kingfern at Mooloolah. A very private and tranquil oasis with all the mod cons inside and boasting a large deck with daybed and timber fireplace outside. Kingfern is the perfect base from which to set out and explore all that the beautiful Sunshine Coast has to offer. The home is open plan with dining, lounge and a full size kitchen with everything you need. Wall mounted TV with Neflix and Spotify Music Streaming, Sonos Sound Bar, Blue Ray player and WiFi. The bedroom has a king size bed with 'The Cloud' overlay; Double Spa bath with candles, bubble bath and soft fluffy robes. Luxuriate in the soft caress and warm embrace of the deep double spa bath with massage and aeration jets and bath foam, surrounded by aromatherapy candles. Decadent rain shower, organic toiletries, luxurious bathrobes and towels complete the picture a decadent rain shower, double sink and bath sheets. Your privacy is paramount but we are on site if you need us Situated in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland on 18 acres of towering gums, we are on the outskirts of the picturesque villages of Mooloolah and Eudlo, approximately a 10 minute drive away. For the last 5 minutes of your journey, our road is unsealed but regularly maintained by the council. Mooloolah has a variety of takeaway restaurants - Thai, Indian, Chinese, Italian, Fish and Chips and a lovely little cafe. You will also find shops including Mooloolah Meats, IGA, Bakery, Newsagency, Hairdresser, Bottle shop, Hardware and a BP Service Station. Our entrance is signed and lit at night and the driveway is a little steep but sealed. We are approximately a 30 minute drive up the range to the restaurants and art galleries of Montville and Maleny and approximately a 30 minute drive down to the beaches of Caloundra and Mooloolaba. Our retreat is home to a small but ancient rainforest where a cluster of King Ferns flourish in their natural environment. You can wander our handmade forest pathways in order to view these ferns. They are rare, nestled deep in our rainforest, and the only other recorded sightings in South East Queensland have been on Fraser Island and Carnarvon Gorge. Our home is a quiet sanctuary of trees and wildlife where you can escape the pressures of the everyday. A place for a couple to relax and to rejuvenate. Parties and extra guests are not permitted. Our street is steep and narrow in places and for the last 5 minutes of your drive here the road is gravel. Our entrance is clearly marked with a lit sign with our address. The driveway is steep but is sealed with bitumen but please drive slowly and be on the lookout for other cars driving out and be aware of wildlife. Car parking is available in the carport beside the house. Kingfern is in a secluded area with no public transport. Within half an hours drive you can be on the beaches of Caloundra, Mooloolaba and Maroochydore or you can head up the Blackall Range and visit the lovely towns of Maleny, Montville and Mapleton. Block out blinds to ensure a restful sleep in. Walking track on the property that will take you down through the eucalyptus forest to the rainforest where Kingferns grow in their natural habitat.
