Dream cottage set in an old fashioned garden on the edge of a Conservation Village. It is peaceful but there are couple of Pubs only 5 minutes walk down by a stream. In 15 minutes you can walk to Coldingham Bay with its sands and rocky pools. A Scottish country Cottage over 100 years set in an old fashioned garden full of flowers. Very cosy even in mid winter with a cream coloured Norwegian LPG gas fuelled stove. Lovely conservatory attached. Guests have access to the whole cottage and the garden and the conservatory, everything! We live an hour away in Edinburgh but we always try to phone or email to check that all is well and we are happy to give advice on Edinburgh or Coldingham. The peace, the birdsong, the stream, the conservation village and the sandy beach. There are lots of lovely walks along the coast, inland and in the hills, there is fishing and there is golf nearby. The capital of Scotland, Edinburgh, is only an hour away. Best to have a car. Its about an hour or so from Edinburgh airport and from the main railway station in Edinburgh. The nearest railway station is Berwick-on-Tweed about 10 miles away. The train journey to there is under 4 hours from London. The house was home, the 1890's, to a novelist who was well thought of by Tolstoy. It has a blue plaque commemorating this. Everything! We are based in Edinburgh an hour away but ready to advise and help if any issues or any information needed. The peace, the garden, the birds the walk down to the Village, the sands at Coldingham Bay. The cliff walks at St Abbs. Fishing, golf. You can get to and from by public transport but its not ideal. Best to have a car The Cottage was once home to a novelist so has a blue plaque. Note that we can take one well-behaved dog for which there are special conditions and an extra charge of £35. This will payable two weeks before arrival through a request from Airbnb Resolution Centre
