The Old Wallace Shop B&B is within a 15-minute drive to Ballarat Central. Within 1 hr from Melbourne and Avalon Airport. Two bedrooms, each with a queen size bed, Fully equipped Kitchen, Lounge, Dining area, Fireplace and TV. Weekend Rate for 1 Night Only $250 The house and shop were built in the mid to late 1800’s by a politician by the name or W Holding. He held the contract for the supply of chaff to the Australian Army Horses. The chaff mills were originally located to the right of the shop but were removed in the mid 1900’s. The shop was a general store, post office and bank. A regular meeting place for the locals after church on Sundays There are gardens surrounding the home with barbecue facilites and quite places to sit with a glass of wine or morning coffee. I live on the adjoining property therefor available if required 50 mtrs from the B&B is the Wallace Hotel/Function Centre. Open Wednesday thru Sunday. Enjoy a meal by the fireplace, a relaxing Sunday lunch with music and only a two minute walk back home. Transport required
